Settings Guide

In the settings interface, you can customize Owlfy’s features and behaviors.

Enter Settings

Click the ⚙ Settings icon at the bottom of the left menu to enter the settings interface.

General Settings

Run on System Startup

Section titled “Run on System Startup”
  • Option: On/Off
  • Description: Set whether Owlfy starts automatically when system boots
  • Recommendation: On, for convenient access anytime

Enable Floating Ball

Section titled “Enable Floating Ball”
  • Option: On/Off
  • Description: Display a floating ball on screen, click to quickly summon Owlfy
  • Recommendation: Choose based on usage habits

Use Mouse Wheel as Voice Key

Section titled “Use Mouse Wheel as Voice Key”
  • Option: On/Off
  • Description: Set mouse wheel as voice key
    • Click wheel - Launch “Sonic Execution”
    • Hold wheel - Launch “Voice Input”
    • Double-click wheel - Launch “AI Assistant”
  • Recommendation: On, for more convenient operation

Keyboard Voice Key

Section titled “Keyboard Voice Key”

Customize the keyboard key to trigger Owlfy features:

  • Windows Default: Right Alt key
  • macOS Default: Fn key

How to Change:

  1. Click the keyboard voice key input box
  2. Press the key you want to set
  3. Auto-saved

Text Command Shortcut

Section titled “Text Command Shortcut”

Trigger Owlfy’s text input mode (silent mode) via keyboard shortcut:

  • Default: ⌥ Option + Space (macOS) / Ctrl + Space (Windows)
  • Use Case: When it’s inconvenient to speak, type to use Owlfy

How to Change:

  1. Click the shortcut input box
  2. Press the key combination you want to set
  3. Auto-saved

Interface Language

Section titled “Interface Language”
  • Options: Chinese / English
  • Description: Set Owlfy interface display language

Appearance Theme

Section titled “Appearance Theme”

System Permissions

Owlfy requires the following system permissions to work properly:

Tip: If the permission icon is gray, click to re-grant permission.

Clipboard History

View and manage clipboard history.

AI Assistant Settings

Folders AI Assistant Can Manage

Section titled “Folders AI Assistant Can Manage”

Set folders that AI assistant can access and operate:

Manage Folders:

  • Select: Click folder icon to select new path
  • Delete: Click × button to remove folder
  • Add: Click + Add Directory to add new managed folder

Security Tip: It’s recommended to only grant AI assistant access to necessary folders.

Ask for Confirmation for Stamina-consuming Tasks

Section titled “Ask for Confirmation for Stamina-consuming Tasks”
  • Option: On/Off
  • Stamina Threshold: Can set threshold above which confirmation is required (default 10)
  • Description: When task stamina consumption exceeds the set value, a confirmation dialog will appear

Ask for Confirmation for Dangerous Operations

Section titled “Ask for Confirmation for Dangerous Operations”
  • Option: On/Off
  • Description: Confirmation dialog appears when performing operations that may affect system safety or data integrity

Dangerous Operation Examples:

  • Delete files
  • Batch modify files
  • System settings changes

Recommendation: Keep on to prevent accidental operations.

Allow Xiaozhi Bot to Control Computer

Section titled “Allow Xiaozhi Bot to Control Computer”
  • Option: On/Off
  • Description: Allow AI assistant to actively control computer to perform tasks
  • Recommendation: Choose based on usage habits

Recording Device

Section titled “Recording Device”

Set microphone and recording related options.

Account

Login/Logout

  • Click account avatar to login/logout
  • After login, membership info and subscription status can be synced

Membership Info

View current membership status:

  • Membership type (Free/Pro/Lifetime)
  • Expiration date
  • Renewal entry
