Owlfy Privacy Policy
Effective Date: February 4, 2026
Welcome to Owlfy!
Silicon Geek Co., Limited (hereinafter referred to as "we," "Owlfy," or "the Company") deeply understands the importance of privacy protection. This Privacy Policy is designed to explain to you (hereinafter referred to as "user" or "you") how we collect, use, store, share, and protect your personal information and data generated when using the Owlfy software and related services (hereinafter referred to as "Services").
Please read this Privacy Policy carefully. By using Owlfy, you indicate that you have fully understood and agreed to all the contents of this Policy.
1. Information We Collect
To provide you with efficient and intelligent voice AI operating system services, we may collect the following types of information:
1.1 Information You Actively Provide
- Account Information: When you register for a Owlfy account, we may collect your email address, username, password, and other basic information.
- Payment Information: If you subscribe to paid services, we process your payment information through third-party payment platforms (such as Stripe). We do not directly store your complete credit card information.
1.2 Automatically Collected Information
- Device Information: Including operating system version, device model, unique device identifiers (such as MAC address), hardware configuration, etc.
- Usage Data: Including the frequency of your use of Owlfy features, voice command types, error logs, crash reports, etc., used to improve service quality.
- Network Information: IP address, network type (Wi-Fi/mobile network), etc.
1.3 Voice and Input Data
- Voice Recording: When you use "Voice Input," "Sonic Execution," or "AI Assistant" features, Owlfy temporarily records your voice commands.
- Cloud Recognition: To ensure the accuracy of voice recognition, your voice data will be encrypted and transmitted to our servers or third-party AI service providers (such as OpenAI, Anthropic, Google Cloud, Azure, etc.) for large model recognition processing.
- One-time Use, Not Retained: We promise not to store your original voice recordings. Voice data is only used for real-time recognition processing and is immediately deleted after processing is completed. It will not be used for model training or any other purposes.
- Text Input: Text converted from your voice, manually entered text, selected document content, etc., will be temporarily sent to cloud-based large models for processing when AI processing is required (such as translation, polishing, Q&A), and will be immediately deleted after processing is completed.
1.4 File and Document Access
- Local Files: When you use the "Process Files" feature, Owlfy needs to access the files you select.
- Local Processing: All regular file operations (such as format conversion, compression, audio/video editing, etc.) are completed on your device through local MCP (Model Context Protocol) technology and will not be uploaded to the cloud.
- AIGC Requirements: Only when you use features that require AI-generated content (such as AI image editing, AI video generation, intelligent matting, etc.) will the relevant files be encrypted and uploaded to cloud-based large models for processing. After processing is completed, the files will be immediately deleted and will not be retained.
- File Metadata: We may collect file names, file sizes, file types, modification dates, and other metadata to optimize file processing algorithms. This metadata is only stored locally.
1.5 Locally Stored Data
- History Records: Your operation history, voice command records, etc., are all stored locally on your device and will not be uploaded to the cloud.
- Personal Configuration: Your preference settings, custom roles, quick commands, preset text snippets, and other configuration information are all stored locally.
- Important Notice: Since data is stored locally, if you uninstall the Owlfy software or change computers, these history records and personal configurations will be lost. We recommend that you regularly back up important configurations.
1.6 Remote Control Data
- IM Messages: When you use the "Mobile Remote Control" feature to send commands to your computer through IM software such as WeChat, WhatsApp, Telegram, etc., Owlfy will receive and parse your message content.
- End-to-End Encryption: We strongly recommend that you use IM software that supports end-to-end encryption (such as Telegram, Signal).
- Data Transmission: Your commands will be transmitted to your computer through our relay server. We do not store your IM message content, only retain necessary connection logs (such as command timestamps, device IDs) for troubleshooting, and these logs will be automatically deleted within 7 days.
1.7 Third-Party Service Data
When you use Owlfy to call third-party services (such as opening websites, sending emails, using online APIs), your data may be transmitted to the corresponding third-party platforms. These platforms have their own independent privacy policies, and we recommend that you read them carefully.
