Remote Control breaks spatial limits. Send tasks to your computer via mobile instant messaging apps (such as WhatsApp, Messenger), and the Owlfy assistant completes them on your PC — feeding results back to your phone in real time.

Overview

Whether you’re in another room, at a coffee shop, or across the country, you can:

How It Works

Connect your Owlfy account to your preferred messaging app:

  1. Open Owlfy Settings → Account → Remote Control
  2. Select your messaging platform
  3. Follow the authentication steps
  4. Your account is now linked

2. Send a Task

From your phone, send a message to the Owlfy bot:

You: "Summarize the PDFs in my Downloads folder"

3. Owlfy Executes

Section titled “3. Owlfy Executes”

The Owlfy assistant on your PC:

  1. Receives the task from the messaging platform
  2. Interprets your request
  3. Executes using the appropriate Skills (AI Assistant, Sonic Execution, etc.)
  4. Processes files locally when possible

4. Receive Results

Owlfy sends the results back to your phone:

Owlfy: "Done! I've summarized 5 PDFs in your Downloads folder. Here's the summary:


1. Q4_Report.pdf — Revenue up 20%, cloud business leading growth

Request a File

Run a System Task

Process Files

Check Information

Start a Download

Security & Privacy

Authentication

  • Only linked accounts can send remote commands
  • Each messaging platform requires separate authentication
  • You can revoke access at any time

Execution Scope

Remote tasks follow the same rules as local tasks:

  • Respects your AI Assistant sandbox mode
  • Honors approval policies for high-risk operations
  • Consumes stamina according to your account limits

Data Handling

  • Task content is processed according to Owlfy’s privacy principles
  • File processing runs locally on your PC when possible
  • Only results are transmitted back to your phone

Managing Remote Control

Enable/Disable

Toggle remote control on or off in Settings → Account → Remote Control.

View Connected Devices

Section titled “View Connected Devices”

See all messaging platforms linked to your account and when they were last used.

Revoke Access

Section titled “Revoke Access”

Remove a messaging platform’s access to your Owlfy account at any time.

Activity Log

Section titled “Activity Log”

Review a history of all remote tasks executed, including:

  • Task description
  • Execution time
  • Result status
  • Messages exchanged

Be Specific

Clear, specific instructions produce better results:

  • ✅ “Find all Excel files in Documents/Reports and merge them into one sheet”

Know Your PC’s State

Remote tasks depend on your PC being powered on and connected to the internet. For critical tasks, ensure your PC is available.
